Our Toy Story and What Comes Next
Nature’s Nook Children’s Toys and Books began as a small idea rooted in a deep belief in imaginative play, creativity, and community. In 2015, it opened as a tiny 300-square-foot space inside a quilt shop in Bottineau and in 2016 moved to Minot, where it quickly outgrew its 1,200-square-foot brick-and-mortar storefront. Over time, Nature’s Nook became a beloved locally owned independent toy store serving families across the region.
Over the years, with your support, we expanded our offerings, added books, and welcomed art and messy play.
After nearly a decade of play, learning, and connection, the Nature’s Nook Toy Store is now closing its brick-and-mortar chapter. This decision represents a thoughtful shift based on how our community connects with us, allowing us to continue serving in ways that make the most sense today.
What has never changed is the heart of Nature’s Nook. The creativity that filled our shelves now lives on through our balloon services and paint parties, which will continue in new locations. The investment you made in this toy store has also been an investment in growth, in resilience, and in the next season of Nature’s Nook.
We are deeply grateful to our community for supporting local play, art, and connection over the years. While the toy store chapter is closing, the spirit behind it continues, evolving to meet families where they are today, with balloons, paint, and creative experiences still very much at the heart of what we do.
