Hedgehogs are small animals with a pointed snout and a coat of over five thousand quills.
Hedgehogs are deaf and blind when they are born and their quills grow even before their senses develop. At birth the quills still have soft hair so they do not injure themselves or their mother. The hedgehogs main method of defense is to stick out their quills, which they control using tiny individual muscles, and to then roll up into a ball where the quills stick out in all directions. This way the attacker has only one small point of access which is smaller than the tip of a finger. Hedgehogs grow to about 20 centimeters long and can be several years old. These animals are known as omnivores and feed on insects, amphibians, bird eggs, mushrooms, melons, berries and snakes. Thanks to their immunity against snake poison, which is the result of an additional protein in their body, hedgehogs can even hunt poisonous snakes.

Although they are generally nocturnal, foxes can change their schedule according to the human population where it resides. Living in dens, both male and female foxes help to raise their young, called kits. Instilling life skills, foxes live by standards that include burying uneaten food and saving it for later. Foxes are generally about three feet long, weighing around thirty pounds. Fun Facts: Foxes can jump one yard vertically. Age 19 months+

The Siberian tiger is the largest big cat in the world and can grow up to three metres long from its nose to the tip of its tail.

The tiger´s stripes are as varied and unique as fingerprints. Even the skin underneath is striped. At first glance, the striking pattern hardly seems to be beneficial. When the tiger goes hunting in the twilight, it is however perfectly camouflaged with the stripes. They appear as tall grass moving in the wind or like fleeting shadows. Unlike many other cats the tiger swims well and likes it, too. Therefore, the water is not a safe place for many prey animals.

At the time of their birth, baby giraffes already weigh 50 kilograms and fall from a height of two metres to the ground. But they don´t hurt themselves and can already run after a short time.
Baby giraffes are reared together with other young animals in a kind of kindergarten. A female giraffe from the herd acts as the "nursery school teacher" and looks after the calves while the other mothers search for food. If predators approach, she immediately raises the alarm. Then the female giraffes stand protectively in front of their babies and kick at the attackers. At around four months, they start to pluck and eat the small leaves from trees, but they still suckle from their mothers until they are ninth months.

Schleich Cheetah, Female

Active during the day, cheetahs reside in the same areas as the nighttime hunters, Schleich Cheetah, Female lions and leopards. While the cubs live with their mother, adult males live together in small groups. The secret of the cheetah´s speed is in its backbone, nostrils, tail and claws. Long and flexible, this bone stretches and contracts like a spring as it sprints across the savannah. It's large nostrils allow for more oxygen intake. Helping steer, its long tail serves as a rudder, and its claws act as cleats. Preying on gazelles and antelope, the mother cheetah has to make a kill every day to feed her young. Used to blend in with tall grasses, the cheetah has black spots on its tan body, but its tail is covered with stripes. Fun Facts: Faster than most sports cars, the cheetah can reach speeds of almost seventy miles per hour from a dead stop in three seconds.

Pot-bellied pigs are of a compact build and have a low-hanging belly; hence their name.
The pot-bellied pig is also known as the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig because it originates from Southeast Asia. Pot-bellied pigs get their name from their striking, compact build with short legs and a low-hanging belly. In some places they are an attraction in petting zoos or are even kept as pets.

What Is DIAMOND DOTZ®?

DIAMOND DOTZ® is an amazing new craft where stunning designs are created with tiny “Diamond” like facets. Our Diamond facet art kits will produce a stunning shimmery effect, featuring a broad range of designs that cater to all tastes.

Quick and easy to do, the end result is an exquisite DIAMOND DOTZ® design that is so visually spectacular that it will have you eager to do more!

The Design

Each DIAMOND DOTZ® design is meticulously interpreted by one of our champion designers. All our designs are either proprietary or licensed for use around the world.

All images used on our packaging, on our websites and in our catalogues depict the finished dotted model and not a picture of the artwork.

That means that you know exactly what the end result will look like before you start.

The DIAMOND DOTZ® Facets

Our facets are made to our stringent specifications. Premium/luxury 2.8mm epoxy resin diamond facet made of first grade raw materials (not recycled).

The Substrate

Our working base is a heavy weight, high quality, 100% woven polyester fabric which is engineered to resist fold marks and is strong enough to carry the weight of facets without any problem. Even on the largest designs. Great for finishing and framing.

Competing products use a poor quality vinyl or synthetic multi-layer substrate that is inferior in both look and performance.

The unique facet design has 13 different surfaces that reflect light and create a more spectacular finished result.

Our Facet is unique and reflects light much more than competing products. We also use many feature/highlight facets which give the end result a completely different look.

The Adhesive

Our adhesive is a proprietary, hi tech formula engineered by industry experts specifically for the DIAMOND DOTZ® activity. Our facets do not fall off and our adhesive makes dotting easy. Competing products have problems with the adhesive and the poorly engineered substrate.

Especially on larger designs, the adhesive cannot make a strong enough bond with the substrate and the beads may fall off over time.

The Printing

We use a patented, high tech print technology which ensures our DIAMOND DOTZ® products are beautifully printed.

Our printing is permanent, mar (scratch) resistant and fade resistant. All using non-toxic, eco-friendly inks.

Competing Products print is not permanent and is not waterproof, fades in sunlight and is easily scratched off the substrate.

The horns of a Texas Longhorn bull can reach a length of more than 1.20 metres.

The most distinctive feature of the Texas Longhorns is, as the name suggests, the long horns that are curved to the fore. These can reach a length of up to 2 metres. This breed was threatened with extinction around the 1920s. Today, it is kept in Texas mostly because of its lean meat.

Rhinoceroses are large, heavy-hoofed animals. Their horns are not made of bone, but out of a material similar to that of our finger nails and hair.

The rhinoceros is a huge animal with fearsome horns. Nevertheless, it is a passionate herbivore. With the horns, it defends itself against hyenas, fights against rivals or digs up tasty roots. Although the skin of the rhino looks very thick, it is actually very thin and delicate, just like the skin of elephants. To cool off and avoid sunburn, it wallows in the mud. You often see small birds on rhinos, hopping around and pecking. They free the rhinos of annoying parasites.

The horn of a rhinoceros can grow to up to 1.5 metres in length.

Huskies are a highly active, energetic breed of dog whose ancestors came from extremely cold and hostile areas of Siberia.

As passionate sled dogs, Huskies love to be out in the open, wild nature. It is no wonder they are known as true escape artists. They slip easily from their collar, jump high fences with ease or dig their way out underneath them. The Husky is by nature simply a great adventurer who wants to explore the world. Unfortunately, they often get lost, which is why you should always keep an eye on them.

You rarely hear huskies bark, but they do howl frequently.
